The Irony of Chi Fashion in My House

Here’s the funny truth about my life as a self-proclaimed Chihuahua Mom and lover of all things glam: my chis rarely get to dress up. 😂
Yes, I have bins of bows, piles of bandanas, tiny harnesses with rhinestones, and outfits that could fill a miniature boutique. But do my dogs actually wear them around the house? Hardly ever.
Why? Because the moment I slip a bow or bandana onto one of my chis, one of the other dogs immediately decides it’s a chew toy. 💕 What starts as “oh look how cute she is in her little dress” usually ends in chaos — bows pulled off, bandanas tugged at, or an outfit half-chewed before I can even snap a picture.
It’s ironic, isn’t it? I adore chi fashion, I design collections full of glam accessories, and I have 24 dogs under my roof — but most of the time, their wardrobe stays tucked neatly in baskets and drawers.
Still, here’s the thing: just because they don’t wear it all the time doesn’t mean I don’t love it. Part of the fun is collecting it, creating it, and knowing it’s there when I do want to dress them up (or sneak in a quick photo session before the others notice 😅).
So if you’re a Chihuahua mom with more accessories than your pup could ever wear, just know — you’re not alone. Sometimes the bows are more for us than them, and that’s okay. 🎀✨
After all, spoiling our pups doesn’t always mean they have to wear the fashion… sometimes it’s just about surrounding ourselves with all the pink, sparkly joy it brings.
✨Do your dogs actually keep their outfits on, or do they stage a fashion rebellion like mine? Tell me your funniest “dog fashion fail” moment in the comments!
Have a great day! Chihuahua Mom
