New Beds

Let’s talk about one of the great mysteries of being a Chihuahua mom: why do my dogs destroy the very things I buy to spoil them? 😂
The latest example? Beds. Soft, fluffy, cozy beds that I thought would make them feel like royalty. I imagined my chis curled up like little angels, snuggled in comfort, while I finally got to reclaim a small corner of my own bed.
But no. That’s not how it went.
Within hours of setting out the brand-new beds, my dogs had declared war on them. The stuffing didn’t stand a chance. Little teeth tore through the fabric like they were digging for buried treasure, and before I knew it, I had tufts of fluff flying through the air like it was snowing in my living room. ❄️🐾
The irony? These same chis will happily take over my pillow every night. They’ll burrow into my blankets. They’ll even try to wedge themselves into a laundry basket full of clean clothes. But their very own beds? Shredded like yesterday’s newspaper.
Sometimes I wonder if it’s just my crew of 24 that stages these “bed rebellions,” or if all chis are secretly bed-destroying masterminds. Either way, I’ve learned two things:
Never underestimate a chihuahua on a mission.
It’s probably safer to just share my bed (again).
So, for now, the brand-new beds are gone, the stuffing is vacuumed, and the chis are right back where they think they belong — snuggled up next to me, stealing all the covers. 🛏️💖
✨ Does your pup destroy their beds too, or is this a “just my house” problem? Tell me your funniest bed story in the comments!
